The lava blooms in its cocoon and the change is most natural. The economic recession haven’t left the art market untouched.   In spite of this, Gallery Ragini has put an effort to keep the spirit high and to stand by their artists and art lovers. At ragini we have evolved, we share our growth with our artists and patrons who have been catalyst in our metamorphic cycle. We celebrate the growth of Gallery Ragini and also announce the opening of our art venue with a group show “Metamorphic Celebration”. The show comprises of drawings, paintings, wood cuts, photographs, installation thus a complete play and display of art works with different media. In the show the artists have infused fresh fervor reiterating the theme. There is a fresh spark in the art works and the whole mood of the show is very upbeat. The show balances smooth spontaneous abstracts with quirky young concepts. The size and scale of canvases by Ravi Gossain and Farhad are almost overwhelming contrasting with whacky drawings by Birendra Pani. (Birendra’s skill as a draughtsman is unfamiliar to most of us). The wood-cut of Praveen is one of the major preoccupations in his work to display the possibilities of combining and co-relating in the fields of art and science. Altogether a cohesive set of artworks bringing out the essence of change and Gallery Ragini’s constant search for aesthetics.
