After A long hiatus Ayesha brings a solo to Delhi with her new oevre.
Working in near isolation, Ayesha’s life in a cottage in rural Goa appears to be reclusive; belied by the prolific, intense, highly coloured and lively production of intricate, often 3D works. These multilayered creations embrace a number of visual factors including a comment on the religious kitsch which is ubiquitous in the visual matrix of our times. Gods and Goddesses cavort within a palimpsest of colours and objects superimposed upon each other to form intriguing multi-dimensional creations.
